Family

I have a brother, Chris, who is currently stationed in North Carolina. He is one of the few, the proud, a Marine. I also have a sister, Allison, who is enjoying the house all to her 15-year-old self. My mother and father own their own business in Pella, Iowa.

My family is tough to describe. We have a unique way interacting with each other. We all sit down and pray before eating dinner together. We all support each other's endeavors by attending the games, recitals, concerts, etc. We all pick on each other relentlessly. In fact just a couple weeks ago Allie and I got into a pseudo-sumo wrestling match. She had moves I wasn't expecting. She pulled my legs right from under me and knocked me on my bottom while she landed on my stomach. It hurt, but it was funny!

I am extremely lucky to have relationships with each person. I value and cherish those relationships!

What about my aunts and uncles...oh my! When all my family gets together we have a grand time. My mom has 6 brothers and sisters. My dad has 4 brothers and a sister. So imagine all my aunts and uncles are married and have children...it gets to be a loud gathering. So fun!!!
