What is higher among country music listeners than gun owners?  It is not, officially, a larger wardrobe with tassels; it is a higher suicide rate.

In 1995 the University of North Carolina published a study saying that they had taken surveys from those who have had deceased loved ones, questioning if the loved one:

a)     owned a gun

b)     had martial problems

c)      liked country

When the average American thinks of deaths linked with music, he or she probably thinks of rap.  But, stereotypically speaking, when one is angry, rap is played, and when one is sad, country is played.

But how many radio listeners listen to the words of rap music, compared to how many radio listeners listen to the words of country music (Stack 4)?
