Nervous system: This is made of the brain and spinal cord. Thirty one nerve fibers (motor nerves) branch from the front of the spinal cord. These transmit instructions to skin, muscles, and organs. The 31 nerve fibers (sensory fibers) that branch from the spinal cord’s rear take info from internal and external senses and send it up the spinal cord (Davis 25).
