functions of music? It provides
for emotional expression, facilitates

entertainment, serves as a mode of communication, and allows for symbolic
representation. Music
promotes physical response, enforces conformity to social norms, validates
social institutions and religious rituals, contributes to the continuity
and stability of culture, as well as the integration of society (8). Music provides order and structure. It is a carrier of information, a
stimulus to evoke feelings, a positive reinforcer, and provides a
non-threatening environment.
